Merrymeeting Community & Adult Education 

 

Merrymeeting Community and Adult Education strives to promote high-quality  and affordable educational experiences in areas of interest to the residents in the communities we serve. Our purpose is to provide information and content of interest to people who wish to learn.

 

RATE OF PAY: $29.00/hour

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for running Merrymeeting Adult Education HiSET labs, teaching Math for high school equivalency diploma.
• Math experience preferred.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Four-year educational degree with teaching/training experience.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
• Computer proficiency.   
• Proven ability to engage students in a positive classroom experience.
• Proven ability to be organized, understand and implement curriculum and communicate detailed and timely responses to student work.         
• Position is not for credit. Maine Department of Education Certification preferred, but not required. 
• Valid State of Maine Department of Education background check (CHRC) authorization.
