Woodside is seeking an MTSS/RTI Paraprofessional to join our vibrant educational community. Together, we can inspire the next generation of learners and leaders.

 

POSITION: 30 Hours/week

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Instruct individual and/or small groups of students under the indirect supervision of a teacher.
• Prepare instructional materials.
• Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by classroom teacher or designee.
• Support RTI identified needs - academic or social emotional.
• Supervise students during lunch and recess. 

REQUIREMENTS:

• Three years of post-secondary education or combination equivalent to 90 hours of approved study.
• Valid State of Maine Department of Education Educational Technician I, II or III Authorization.
• Valid State of Maine Department of Education background check (CHRC) authorization.
• Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) Certification preferred.
• Mandt trained or ability to train.
• Strong behavioral management skills, ability to consistently follow and implement positive behavior support plans.
• Demonstrated record keeping skills.
• Proven ability to function as a team member.
• Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50+ lbs.

• Reaching Overhead:  1-2 hours
• Bending/Twisting:  3-5 hours
• Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling:  1-2 hours
• Hands/Arms/Finger Dexterity/Hand Gripping:  6-8 hours
